EmployAbility’s TBI Pilot Program is ready

Our supportive TBI Employment program is ready to begin.

EmployAbility’s TBI Pilot program, aimed at supporting participants/candidates with TBI to find gainful employment, is ready to launch.

Thanks to the support of our expert working group, we have been able to craft a supportive and progressive employment program.

EmployAbility is a free, specialised employment program delivered by Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA), that supports people with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) to prepare for, find, and thrive in meaningful employment/activity. It has been adapted for TBI from SCIA’s successful EmployAbility program for people with physical disability.

What makes EmployAbility unique?

  • Lived experience support: Each participant is matched with an Employment Coach who has lived experience of Disability and understands the journey back to work. The employment coach is supported by the Program Manager who also has significant experience working with people with TBI.
  • Tailored job readiness: From resume building and interview prep to understanding workplace rights, participants receive personalised 1:1 coaching every step of the way.
  • Online job skills training:  A flexible, accessible course designed to build confidence and practical skills.
  • Inclusive employer network: We connect participants with disability-inclusive employers who value their strengths and potential

Whether your participant is just beginning to consider work or is ready to re-enter the workforce, EmployAbility offers the tools, support, and encouragement to help them succeed.

If you have a participant with a Traumatic Brain Injury and think they would be a good candidate for the pilot program commencing August 2025, visit www.employability.org.au/TBI for more information or please feel free to email TBI Program Manager, Samantha Clay on sclay@scia.org.au
