Impact Snapshot (July 2025 – Dec 2025)

We are excited to share the results of our latest SCIA 6 monthly Impact Snapshot Report from 1st July – 31 December 2026.

Participants were asked to complete the impact survey before they started the EmployAbility program and after they completed the program.

A total of 98 participants completed the exit survey in the past 6 months.

Our Aim: 

The EmployAbility program is for people with physical disability who might need a bit more support on their journey to work. Measurements include career planning, confidence and wellbeing. Respondents completed the Personal Wellbeing Index and tailored questions regarding their experience in the program.

Our Impact:

  • Before the program started, only 51% of participants had a career plan or goal. At the end of the program, 91% of people had a career goal or plan.
  • 94% of people say they now know how to find suitable jobs, compared to 41% at the start of the program.
  • 96% of people now have a current and up to date CV/resume, compared to 71% in the beginning.
  • 94% of participants now know how to write a cover letter, compared to 57% at the start.
  • At the start of the program, only 58% know how to prepare for and handle an interview. After the completion of the program, 97% do.
  • 86% of people now know what government and non-government supports are available to them as a job seeker, compared to 23% in the beginning.
  • 93% of participants now know their rights as a person with disability, compared to 30% in the beginning.

Confidence

  • After finishing the EmployAbility program, 79% of participants feel either fair confident or completely confident about their knowledge of the job search process
  • 79% of participants now feel they are fairly confident or completely confident in exploring new learning or training opportunities
  • 84% of people now feel they are fairly confident or completely confident that they are better equipped to apply for a job.

Wellbeing

There is a:

  • 30% improvement in how satisfied the participants are with their future security
  • 28% improvement in how satisfied the participants are with what they are achieving in life
  • 20% improvement in how satisfied they are with feeling part of their community and
  • 17% improvement in how satisfied they are with their life as a whole
