Snapshot of our impact results for Jan-June 2024

We are excited to share the results of our latest SCIA 6 monthly Impact Snapshot Report from 1st July – 31 Dec 2024.

Participants were asked to complete the impact survey before they started the EmployAbility program and after they completed the program.
A total of 72 participants completed the exit survey in the past 6 months.

Our Aim: EmployAbility program helps participant become more prepared for employment

Our Impact:

  • Before the program started, only 51% of participants had a career plan or goal. At the end of the program, 90% of people had a career goal or plan.
  • 94% of people say they now know how to find suitable jobs, compared to 40% at the start of the program.
  • 97% of people now have a current and up to date CV/resume, compared to 66% in the beginning.
  • 93% of participants now know how to write a cover letter, compared to 54% at the start.
  • At the start of the program, only 54% knew how to prepare for and/or handle an interview. After the completion of the program, 99% do now.
  • 86% of people now know what government and nongovernment supports are available to them as a job seeker, compared to 20% in the beginning.
  • 96% of participants now know their rights as a person with disability, compared to 33% in the beginning.

Our Aim: An increase in confidence in searching for employment after completion of the EmployAbility program.

Our Impact:

  • After finishing the EmployAbility program, 81% of participants feel either fairly confident or completely confident about their knowledge of the job search process
  • 82% of participants now feel they are fairly confident or completely confident in exploring new learning or training opportunities
  • 83% of people now feel they are fairly confident or completely confident that they are better equipped to apply for a job
