Meet Declan

Declan has recently joined the EmployAbility team as a Disability Employment Ambassador for SCIA in NSW. And we are excited he is here.

Declan is a final year law student studying a Juris Doctor at the University of New South Wales and has a strong background in disability rights, legal research and policy advocacy. Currently Declan is also the Chair of the Ageing and Disability Commission of NSW Advisory Board and a Board Member of Physical Disability Council NSW. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Primarily driven by lived experience and a deep commitment to disability inclusion and systemic reform, Declan is bringing a unique perspective to employment, legal, policy and accessibility frameworks affecting people with disability having built a career centred around improving equity for people with disabilities through a range of roles including employment.

He has a terrific smile, fn sense of humor and keeps us all on our toes.

Welcome to the team Declan, so great to see you fitting right in already!
