Finding the right information about spinal cord injury at the acute stages can be overwhelming and confusing. SCIA are here to help with their new Acute Family Resource SCI Rookie Books series.

This series was designed to help family members at the early stages of a loved one’s spinal cord injury.

Developed by Jenni Haydon, SCIA Acute Family Resource Coordinator, using her own lived-experience from a family member perspective to guide you through the basics, where to start and where can you get the right support.

The second Rookie Book helps guide rookie supporters of those who have a loved one with a spinal cord injury to navigate which specialists will be there to assist, who they are, and how they will help.
