Our client is growing their team and are currently on the hunt for someone to help us build game-changing 3D-printed titanium wheelchairs!
About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is best suited to a full time wheelchair user, as you will be testing products and involved in modifications based on your own lived experience.
This is an entry level position, perfect for a junior person with ambitions to level up and learn advanced manufacturing.
Great role for someone who is practical, and good with their hands.
Hours: Full Time or 3 days a week, with flexible in start times
Location: Carrum Downs, VIC
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role includes building and assembling wheelchairs. You will be working with hand and power tools such as linishers, polishers, die grinders, drills, saws and other equipment such as a CNC Router and a titanium 3D printer.
You do not need prior experience with all of these tools, as training will be provided.
You’ll be cutting and preparing carbon and titanium tubes, blasting and polishing 3D printed titanium parts, bonding frames and assembling ultra-light wheelchairs.

Essential qualifications
- No essential academic qualifications. The applicant will be chosen based on their attitude, problem solving abilities, desire to learn and potential to grow with the business.
Work experience and skills
Desirable Experience
- Interest in additive manufacturing.
- Previous experience with hand and power tools.
- Previous experience in a workshop environment.
- First hand experience with wheelchairs.
- Wheelchair user permanent SCI or physical disability

Key Relationships
- This position will be trained by the Production Manager and Founder with ongoing support and supervision.
